Collaborative Design
A portfolio-led website for a high-calibre North East hospitality design studio
The
challenge
Collaborative Design had three decades of standout venues behind it and very little online to prove it. Founder Chris Sutton has shaped some of the North East’s best known bars and restaurants, from Tup Tup Palace to Barluga, but the brand had no digital home that matched the quality of the interiors. The work spoke for itself in person. Online, it was invisible. The brief was to build a site that showed the portfolio off properly and turned casual browsers into serious enquiries.
Our
approach
We built a portfolio-led website that puts the venues first and lets the work do the talking. Every project page is designed to sell the atmosphere of the space, not just document it, with a structure that walks prospects through the concept to completion story that sets Collaborative Design apart. We shaped the messaging around the studio’s holistic offer, covering everything from concept design and architectural planning to licensing and building regulations, so owners understand they are hiring a partner rather than a decorator. On the technical side we optimised the site around the terms venue owners actually search for, including interior design Newcastle and bar designers Newcastle, and made sure the brand reads as the established regional name it is.
